Putting Life into Living at Glen Devon
Glen Devon offers numerous opportunities for residents to enjoy Active Community Engagement. The ACE approach to supporting people living with dementia was pioneered at Glen Devon and now provides the foundation of the Philosophy of Care within the home and evolves along with the changing needs and abilities of our residents.
Residents are supported in small groups and as individuals to participate in the life of the home and in the wider community. Residents enjoy regular trips out locally and farther afield as well as in house activities.
Staying Connected
Glen Devon itself is a community and as such fosters a sense of belonging, involvement and care. Staff, friends and families play a valued role in creating the community at Glen Devon.
There are always opportunities to enjoy the company of others or to find quiet time to pursue your own hobbies and interests. Glen Devon use a comprehensive electronic care management system that helps us to deliver better outcomes for our residents and to facilitate family interaction and involvement.
Local Community
There are a variety of attractions and services available locally, that our residents can enjoy with the support of family, friends and members of our care team. The local post office and corner shop is situated just around the corner.
We are just a block back from the East promenade with its sea-views, lifeboat station, bowling green, Pavilion Theatre and cafés.
